Your dash cam should automatically power on once the vehicle turns on and you start driving. If this isn't happening, please follow the steps below.
Important: Always ensure that you are using only the original cable, mount, and Nexar-provided power accessory that came with the camera to avoid any potential issues.
Check for physical damage. Inspect the dash cam, mount, and all accessories for any visible damage, including signs of battery bloating.
Verify the mount connection. Ensure the dash cam is securely attached to its mount. The Nexar One power cable must be connected to the correct port on the mount, not to any add-on ports on the sides, as this can potentially harm the dash cam.
Charge via the standard power port. If you are using a cigarette lighter adapter on a regular power source, ensure the dash cam has charged for at least 45 minutes. Please note that the beam4 isn't compatible with the cigarette lighter adapter; only use the OBD cable that came with it.
Test continuous power. If you are using an OBD Kit or another continuously powered port, confirm whether the dash cam turns on when the vehicle actually starts moving.
If the issue continues, please reach out to our support team for further help. Providing the exact date and time when the issue occurred will greatly assist in resolving the problem.
