This article is designed to assist you in troubleshooting your dash cam if you're encountering problems with the dash cam turning off or restarting while you're driving.

If your dash cam is restarting or turning on and off in the middle of your drives, please follow the steps below to resolve the issue.

Important: Always ensure that you are only using the original cable, mount, and Nexar-provided power accessory that came with the camera to avoid any potential issues.

  1. Secure the connections. Remove and reattach the cables to make sure they are all properly connected.

    • For Nexar One: Remove and reattach the mount as well. Ensure the power cable is connected to the correct port on the mount, not to any add-on ports on the sides, as this can potentially harm the dash cam.

  2. Inspect for damage. Examine the dash cam, accessories, and mount for any physical damage or signs of battery bloating.

  3. Test a different power source. Check if the power outlet is working by trying a different power source to see if the restarting issue stops.

  4. Remove add-ons (Nexar One only). If you have the cabin view camera and/or +Connectivity (LTE module) add-ons attached, please remove them and do a test drive without them to see if the restarting issue stops.
