This article provides detailed information about Nexar's Return Policy and Return Process for our dash cams for private drivers.
The return process and policy mentioned in this guide are for drivers who purchased their Nexar dashcam for private use through the Nexar Shop on Amazon or Shopify. If you are using the Nexar Fleet Monitoring system, please click here for the Fleets return policy. If you received your Nexar dash cam from your insurer, click here.
Return Process
Shopify Purchase
If you've purchased a Nexar or Scosche dash cam from Shopify and wish to initiate a return, please follow the instructions below based on the status of your dash cam.
Activated Dash Cams: Use our in-app messaging by navigating to More > Help > Contact us.
Non-Activated Dash Cams: Message our support team through the Live Chat Messenger available in the Help Center (look for the chat widget on the bottom right) or email us at support@getnexar.com for guidance on your return process.
Amazon Purchase
To return a dash cam purchased from Amazon, please initiate the return through your Amazon account's order page.

Return Policy
DOMESTIC (Within the U.S.)
You may return the dash cam to Nexar via USPS within 30 days of purchasing (including in the event of receipt of a damaged/malfunctioned dash cam or failure by the dash cam, the Nexar Classic app and/or your mobile device to integrate), and Nexar will refund you within 30 days of receipt of the dash cam in Nexar's shipping center, provided however that the dash cam is returned to Nexar in its original condition and packaging and that you have not received the Refund following your completion of the Conditions.
Please note that you cannot send the camera back with your own shipping label. You must use the one we provide for your return or exchange request to be processed. Contact our support team at support@getnexar.com to obtain the return label.
In the event in which the dash cam is returned to Nexar in a damaged condition prior to the fulfillment of the Conditions, Nexar reserves the right to withhold the refund, or any part thereof.
Nexar hereby provides you with a one-year warranty for the dash cam as of the date of your receipt of the dash cam. In the event of any defect or malfunction in the dash cam (which were not caused due to unreasonable use by you or anyone else) occurring during such warranty period, you may return the dash cam to Nexar via USPS to the address mentioned above and Nexar will repair or replace your dash cam (at Nexar’s sole discretion).

INTERNATIONAL (Outside the U.S.)
You may return the dash cam to Nexar within 30 days of the purchase being delivered and Nexar will refund you within 30 days of receipt of the dash cam in Nexar's shipping center, provided however that the dash cam is returned to Nexar in its original condition and packaging and that you have not received the Refund following your completion of the Conditions.
Please note that returns must be processed using any carrier available to ship the camera back to the US at the customer’s expense. In the event in which the dash cam is returned to Nexar in a damaged condition prior to the fulfillment of the Conditions, Nexar reserves the right to withhold the refund, or any part thereof.
