This article will guide you through mounting your Nexar Pro dash cam to your vehicle.

If you are unsure where and how you should stick your dash cam, see our suggestions below:

  • For road view cameras, behind and to the right of your rearview mirror works best.

  • Wherever you choose to stick the camera, make sure to install it in a place where it will not interfere with the driver’s visibility or safety.

  • Do not install the camera on or near where airbags may be present or go off. If you are uncertain of where your vehicle’s airbags are located, contact your vehicle’s manufacturer.

  • In order to prevent damage, do not install the camera on a sun control film (i.e. window tint).

Learn how to mount and install your Nexar Pro dash cam in your vehicle

1. Attaching the cable and charger

Connect the charging cable to the Nexar Pro's POWER port and install the USB charger in your vehicle’s power socket.

Then connect the other end of the charging cable to the USB charger’s 1A socket, and Start your vehicle, the camera’s indicator lights will turn on.

2. Installing the interior-facing/cabin camera

Plug the cable on the interior-facing camera into the add-on port of the Nexar Pro and place the interior-facing camera next to the Nexar Pro where it will have a good view of the inside of your vehicle.

Both cameras automatically start recording after you begin driving. You won't see any indication on the interior facing camera that it’s working, but you can check the camera preview screen on the Nexar Classic app.

3. Attaching the Nexar Pro to the windshield

Move to the front passenger seat of your vehicle and check Nexar Classic to see that you have a full, clear view of the road and interior cabin.

Clean the windshield area where you decide to stick the mount then remove the protective film from the camera lens and attach the dash cam to the magnetic mount base. Adjust the camera angle, making sure the camera is horizontal and not blocked by anything then gently but firmly stick the dash cam to the windshield

4. Hiding the cables

To install the cable neatly, start in the passenger seat. Gently pull down the ceiling fabric near the windshield, tuck the cable under, or use cable clips. Continue by feeding the cable through the door seal, behind the glove compartment, and under the floor mat. Finally, connect it to the USB charger near the power socket for a seamless setup.

That's it, you're all set!
