What is Nexar's Rideshare Protect Program?
This program is a Safe Driving package for professional drivers working within the NYC area (as well as other locations in the near future). For a monthly fee, drivers receive a discount on their TLC liability insurance. In addition, drivers receive a Nexar-ready dash cam, and the many practical benefits from the Nexar safety features, such as collision reports.

Who is eligible for the discount?
Drivers who hold a Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) license and have signed up to the Nexar Professional Drivers Program plan
Drivers who own cars they drive professionally.
Insurance companies cannot provide a discount to an individual if that individual rents their vehicle from a fleetDrivers must maintain the monthly driving requirements that are mandated by their insurance providers.

Hereford - 3 drives over 5 miles in a full calendar month
Inshur - 3 drives over 5 miles in a full calendar month
Which insurance companies provide a discount?
Eligible drivers in our Professional Drivers Program receive a discount on their TLC liability policy
Currently, drivers who are insured by either American Transit, Hereford, or Inshur can qualify for the insurance discount.

What information do I need to provide?
To join the Professional Drivers Program, you will be required to provide Nexar with the following information:
First Name
Last Name
TLC license number
DMV license number
VIN
Insurance Provider
Insurance Policy number
Failing to provide one or more of these items might cause you to miss out on the insurance discount.
What should I do if there is a second driver on my policy?
If you have a second driver on your policy, please contact our support team through the Nexar app or send an email to support@getnexar.com and provide his/her following details:
