Guide for Driving Speed Data
Updated over a week ago

This article details the Speed Data feature within Nexar Classic and outlines the necessary steps to ensure accurate speed information is consistently displayed.

What Is Speed Data?

The Speed Data is a Nexar Classic feature that is available for Android users who own a Nexar dash cam. The Speed data gives you an approximation of your drive’s speed based on the information gathered using your phone’s GPS data and are reflected on both Drives and Clips.

Where to See the Speed Data?

For Nexar Pro, Beam, NEXC1, NEXC2, and NEXS1 dash cams used with Android phones, a speed graph is shown on the video summary screen after your drive.

How to Set Up Speed Data?

Here are some instructions to ensure that you’ll have speed data on each drive saved in the app:

1. If your dash cam is a Nexar Beam or Nexar Pro, ensure that the GPS mount and the power cable are directly plugged into the dash cam’s power port using the original cigarette lighter adapter

2. Disable your VPNs, security, or antivirus apps

3. Calibrate the compass for your Android devices: Go to Settings > Location > Location Services > Google Location Accuracy > On

Speed data is not yet available for iOS users connecting their phone with a Nexar Pro, Nexar Beam, NEXC1, NEXC2 and NEXS1.
