Enabling & Disabling Nexar Pro, Beam, and NEXC2 Audio Recordings
Updated over a week ago

This guide will teach you how to enable and disable the audio recordings in the app and Nexar Pro, Beam, and NEXC2 dash cam.

How to Enable and Disable Nexar Pro, Beam, and NEXC2 Audio Recordings

To enable or disable audio recordings in your Nexar Pro, Beam, or NEXC2 dash cam footage, follow these steps:

1. Make sure your phone is connected to your Nexar Pro, Beam, or NEXC2. To check this, open the Nexar Classic app and make sure that the main page says “Detected” right below the dash cam banner

2. While on the Nexar Classic app, tap "More" and then select "Dash cam"

3. Turn on or off the "Record Audio" toggle

4. Start a drive and let it record for a few minutes

5. Check the end footage to ensure that the audio corresponds to the setting that you chose

Any changes made to the "Record audio" toggle will affect both the Nexar Classic app and dash cam recordings. These changes will only take effect on video recordings made after the toggle has been adjusted. Once a recording has been saved, it is not possible to add or remove audio.
