Accessing NEXS1 and NEXC1 Drive Videos
Updated over 7 months ago

This article explains how to access NEXS1 and NEXC1 Drive recordings and how to access them in different scenarios.

What Happens When Videos Are Only in NEXS1 and NEXC1's SD Card?

The NEXS1 and NEXC1 automatically record all Drives in the SD card as soon as they're powered on. This ensures that if something happens during the drive, and the Nexar Classic app didn't capture it for any reason, you'll still have a record of it to save later.

If you have important videos that were not saved in the Nexar Classic app, please get them from the SD card or internal memory immediately before they get overwritten with newer drive videos. Click here to learn more: https://intercom.help/nexar/en/articles/8485264

Where Can I Find Videos Saved in the Nexar Classic App?

The Nexar Classic app shows Drives or Clips that were recorded in the phone's memory. These Videos can be accessed within the Videos tab. Clips are saved on the bottom of the Drive where they were trimmed from.

How Can I Access Camera-Only Drives?

To access Camera-only Drives in Android phones, you will need to create a Clip while the Nexar Classic app is connected or paired to your NEXS1 or NEXC2 dash cam. These are automatically uploaded to the Nexar Cloud via WiFi once connected to a strong internet connection.

What Happens to Drives When the Phone’s Battery Optimization Toggle in the Nexar Classic App Is Enabled?

On iOS phones, enabling the Phone's battery optimization toggle disables background activities of the Nexar Classic app, including video recording. This means that if the Nexar Classic app is in the background during a drive, the recording won't be automatically saved to the phone.

However, you can choose to save your drives as Clips. To do this, stay connected to the dash cam, go to the Videos tab, tap the Drive card, and create a clip from that Drive.

These Clips will be automatically uploaded to the Nexar Cloud for safekeeping, allowing you to access them later.
