Incomplete NEXS1, NEXC1 Video Recordings
Updated over 6 months ago

This article will guide you in resolving issues with incomplete NEXS1 and NEXC1 video recordings.

What to Do When Parts of the Video Recordings Are Missing in the Nexar Classic App

Remember that your drive recordings are transferred from the NEXS1 and NEXC1 to the Nexar Classic app via WIFI. When the Nexar Classic app and dash cam aren't connected during certain drives or get disconnected due to interference, part of your drives will not be saved in the app.

The Nexar Classic app and Nexar dash cam utilize a loop recording mechanism that automatically overwrites older drives to make space for new ones.

If parts of your recent drives are incomplete in the Nexar Classic app, don't worry. You can still recover them from NEXS1 or NEXC1's SD card by following the steps below.

Accessing the Videos from the SD Card for NEXS1 and NEXC1

1. Eject the SD card from your dash cam by pushing the SD card insert

2. Insert the SD card into an SD card reader (available for purchase in any electronics store or use the adapter received in the package and insert the SD card into your computer)

3. Plug the SD card reader into the computer’s USB outlet

4. A folder containing the videos on your SD card will show up - transfer all of the desired videos to the computer’s drive

The Nexar Pro, Beam, NEXS1, and NEXC1 are the only dash cams that have a removable SD Card. However, the Nexar One and NEXC2 have an internal memory that is not removable. Do not attempt to remove the internal memory from Nexar One and NEXC2, as it can cause damage and void the warranty.

It is advisable to maintain a constant connection between the app and NEXS1 or NEXC1 through WiFi and Bluetooth while driving to ensure your videos are saved completely and not missing any drive segments in the app. Alternatively, you can create Clips of significant drive segments, which will be securely backed up in the Nexar cloud and readily accessible within the app.
