NEXS1, NEXC1's Parking Mode Not Working
Updated over 2 weeks ago

This article will help you troubleshoot in case you experience issues where NEXS1 or NEXC1's parking mode feature is not working or not activating.

Troubleshooting NEXS1's Parking Mode Not Working or Not Activating

Please ensure that you are only using the original cable, mount, and Nexar-provided power accessory that came with the camera to avoid any potential issues.

You can check if your NEXS1's parking mode is working or activating by following the steps below:

1. Turn off the phone’s Bluetooth and WIFI settings.

2. Remove the dash cam from power and keep it undisturbed for 5 minutes or more.

3. Shake the dash cam.

4. Allow it to record and shut down.

5. Keep the dash cam undisturbed for at least 5 minutes, then connect it to power.

6. Turn off Low Power Mode (iOS) or Power Saving Mode (Android) in the phone's Settings app.

7. Turn on the phone's Bluetooth and WIFI settings.

8. Open the Nexar Classic app and make sure the dash cam status in the Drive tab says Detected.

You should receive a parking incident notification on your phone a few minutes after being paired or connected to the dash cam.

If the parking incidents did not appear on the app or the NEXS1 did not wake up after the shake test, please reach out to our team for further assistance. Sharing a video of the shake test with our support team will be helpful.

Parking mode doesn't work with continuous power. In this setup, the NEXS1 or NEXC1 enters sleep mode and turns off 30 minutes after your drive. It wakes up again when a drive is detected. For parking mode to work, connect to a regular power port or unplug the dash cam after driving.

How to Retrieve Recent Parking Incidents If They Were Not Saved in the Nexar Classic App

In case the Nexar Classic app is unable to save your parking Clips, you can also get them directly from the NEXS1 or NEXC1's SD card.

NEXC1's parking incident clips are only saved in the SD card's sos folder and are not uploaded to the Nexar Classic app.

The Nexar Pro, Beam, NEXS1, and NEXC1 are the only dash cams that have a removable SD Card. However, the Nexar One and NEXC2 have an internal memory that is not removable. Do not attempt to remove the internal memory from Nexar One and NEXC2, as it can cause damage and void the warranty.
