This article will help you troubleshoot in case you experience issues with retrieving NEXS1 or NEXC1's parking mode Clips.
How to Retrieve NEXS1's Parking Incidents
Follow these steps in case you are unable to retrieve NEXS1's parking mode video recordings:
Please ensure that you are only using the original cable, mount, and Nexar-provided power accessory that came with the camera to avoid any potential issues.
1. Plug the dash cam to power.
2. Turn off Low Power Mode (iOS) or Power Saving Mode (Android) in the phone's Settings app.
3. Disable WIFI-interfering functions like Carplay, Android Auto, VPN apps, antivirus apps, security apps, and hotspots.
4. Enable your phone's WIFI and Bluetooth.
5. Wait a few minutes for the notification to appear.
6. Tap the notification to download the parking clip.
7. Keep the app open in the foreground until the transfer is complete.
In the event that the Nexar Classic app fails to save your parking Clips, you can still obtain them directly from the dash cam's SD card.
How to Retrieve NEXC1's Parking Incidents
NEXC1's parking incident clips are only saved in the SD card's sos folder and are not uploaded to the Nexar Classic app.
In order to retrieve NEXC1's parking incidents, follow these instructions:
1. Eject the SD card from your dash cam by pushing it downward until you hear a click, then gently release pressure until it pops out of the port.
2. Insert the SD card into an SD card reader (available for purchase in any electronics store or use the adapter received in the package).
3. Plug the SD card reader into the computer’s USB outlet.
4. Open the sos folder to find your parking incidents.
How to Retrieve Recent NEXS1 Parking Incidents If They Were Not Saved in the Nexar Classic App
In the event that the Nexar Classic app fails to save your parking Clips, you can still obtain them directly from the dash cam's SD card by doing the following:
4. Open the sos folder.
5. Look for video files with a filename that ends in AU (road-view) and BU (interior-view). Those are your parking incident videos.
The Nexar Pro, Beam, NEXS1, and NEXC1 are the only dash cams that have a removable SD Card. However, the Nexar One and NEXC2 have an internal memory that is not removable. Do not attempt to remove the internal memory from Nexar One and NEXC2, as it can cause damage and void the warranty.
If no parking incidents were transferred, it could mean that the NEXS1 did not record a parking incident. You can check if NEXS1's parking mode is working by following the steps below.
