This article helps you troubleshoot video quality issues in your NEXS1 or NEXC1's drive recordings like freezing frames, choppy videos, blurry videos, or skipping frames.
Troubleshooting Video Quality Issues for NEXS1 or NEXC1
If you're experiencing video quality issues with your NEXS1 or NEXC1's video recordings, follow these steps:
Please ensure that you are only using the original cable, mount, and Nexar-provided power accessory that came with the camera to avoid any potential issues.
1. Check for lens obstructions, including the plastic protective film, and remove it if still attached.
2. Try adjusting the dash cam's lens angle by moving it up or down to have a better angle.
3. Inspect the dash cam's lens for physical damage.
4. Check if the issue is present both on the app and the SD card.
5. Check if the issue happens both in the live camera feed and playbacks.
6. Try using a phone mount attached to the air conditioner's vent if the phone is overheating when driving.
7. Close any unused apps that are working in the background.
If the issue persists, reach out to our support team for further assistance. Sharing a copy of the problematic recording will be helpful for the review.
How to Access Drive Recordings from NEXS1 or NEXC1's SD Card or Internal Memory
You can also access Drive recordings directly from NEXS1 or NEXC1's internal memory by doing the following:
Accessing the Videos from the SD Card for NEXS1 and NEXC1
1. Eject the SD card from your dash cam by pushing it downward until you hear a click, then gently release pressure until it pops out of the port.
2. Insert the SD card into an SD card reader (available for purchase in any electronics store or use the adapter received in the package and insert the SD card into your computer)
3. Plug the SD card reader into the computer’s USB outlet
4. A folder containing the videos on your SD card will show up - transfer all of the desired videos to the computer’s drive
The Nexar Pro, Beam, NEXS1, and NEXC1 are the only dash cams that have a removable SD Card. The Nexar One and NEXC2 have internal memories that are not removable. Do not attempt to remove the internal memory from Nexar One and NEXC2, as it can cause damage and void the warranty.
