Nexar One Low Battery Status

Updated over a year ago

This article will help you troubleshoot your Nexar One when it persistently shows a "Low battery" status on the Nexar app.

What to Do if Nexar One Consistently Displays a Low Battery Status on the Nexar App?

If Nexar One keeps showing a "Low battery" status in the Nexar app and results in the Live button getting grayed out, do the following:

Please ensure that you are only using the original cable, mount, and Nexar-provided power accessory that came with the camera to avoid any potential issues.

1. Verify that the Nexar One is securely attached to the mount, and that the power cable is connected to the correct port on the Nexar One's mount and not to any add-on ports on the sides, as this can potentially harm the dash cam.

2. Check that there are no physical damages on the accessories and the dash cam is receiving power.

3. Check for any physical damage on the mount, accessories, and dash cam, such as signs of bloating.

4. If you are using the Nexar One with a cigarette lighter adapter on a regular power source, ensure that the dash cam is charged by keeping the vehicle on for at least 90 minutes.

5. If you are using the Nexar One with our hardwire kit, OBD kit, or on a continuously powered port, ensure that the dash cam is left plugged into the power source for at least 90 minutes.

6. Turn off Low Power Mode (iOS) or Power Saving Mode (Android) in the phone's Settings app.

7. Disable WiFi-interfering functions like CarPlay, Android Auto, VPN apps, antivirus apps, security apps, and hotspots.

8. Enable the phone's cellular data, Bluetooth, and WiFi settings.

9. Power on the dash cam and and wait until the blue/white light stops blinking so that the battery information will be updated in the app.

10. Open the app and check the dash cam status again.

For Nexar One with cigarette lighter adapter on continuous power, OBD kit , or hardwire kit: Go to More > Dash cam, then enable the Continuous power port toggle for a more seamless driving experience.
