This article will help you troubleshoot Nexar Pro, Beam and NEXC2 issues where the dash cam's WiFi or Bluetooth network is not showing on your phone's networks or the app cannot find it.
What to Do When the Nexar Pro, Beam, or NEXC2’s WiFi or Bluetooth Network Is Not Showing on My Phone’s List of Networks?
If the Nexar WiFi or Bluetooth network is still missing even after waiting for some time after the dash cam has been turned on, please follow the instructions below.
Please ensure that you are only using the original cable, mount, and Nexar-provided power accessory that came with the camera to avoid any potential issues.
1. Turn off Low Power Mode (iOS) or Power Saving Mode (Android) in the phone's Settings app.
2. Make sure there are no other nearby Wi-Fi networks and you are not using Android Auto, CarPlay, VPN, or security apps, or using your phone as a hotspot.
3. For Nexar Pro or Beam: Remove and reattach the SD card
4. If a GPS Mount is present, remove the power cable from the mount and plug it directly into the dash cam’s power port.
5. Plug the Nexar Pro, Beam or NEXC2 to the car’s power port
6. Perform a factory reset on your Nexar Pro, Beam, or NEXC2 by pressing the power button 9 times then tap the power button once more as instructed
7. A voice confirmation should be heard confirming that the reset is successful
8. Check if you can now detect the Nexar Pro, Beam, or NEXC2 dash cam's WiFi and Bluetooth Network
The Nexar Pro, Beam, NEXS1, and NEXC1 are the only dash cam that has a removable SD Card. However, the Nexar One and NEXC2 have internal memory that is not removable. Do not attempt to remove the internal memory from Nexar One and NEXC2, as it can cause damage and void the warranty.
