Updated over a week ago

This article will help you troubleshoot NEXS1 and NEXC1 issues where the dash cam's WiFi or Bluetooth network is not showing on your phone's networks or the app cannot find it.

What to Do When the NEXS1 or NEXC1’s WiFi or Bluetooth Network Is Not Showing on My Phone’s List of Networks?

Here’s what you need to do if your NEXS1 or NEXC1’s WiFi or Bluetooth network is not showing on your phone’s list of networks.

Please ensure that you are only using the original cable, mount, and Nexar-provided power accessory that came with the camera to avoid any potential issues.

1. Turn off Low Power Mode (iOS) or Power Saving Mode (Android) in the phone's Settings app.

2. Make sure there are no other nearby Wi-Fi networks and you are not using Android Auto, CarPlay, VPN, or security apps, or using your phone as a hotspot.

3. Remove and reattach the NEXS1 or NEXC1's SD card

4. Restart the phone and recheck if the Nexar WIFI network will appear

5. Please check the firmware version in the Nexar Classic app first by going to More > Help. Then, follow the reset instructions applicable to your NEXS1 or NEXC1's firmware version below:

NEXC1 with firmware version 1.2.0 and 1.2.8

1. Connect the NEXC1 to a power source

2. Press and hold the Power button on the NEXC1 for 15-20 seconds or until it turns off

3. Wait until the NEXC1 turns back on

4. After the reboot, the red button should be flashing. If the light is solid red, press the Power button once quickly.

NEXC1 with firmware version 1.3.2

1. Connect the NEXC1 to a power source

2. Tap the WiFi button 9 times, then tap it once more for confirmation. You should hear a clicking sound and a voice prompt confirming the reset

3. Wait for the voice prompt to instruct it, and press the WiFi button again.

4. You will hear a voice prompt that says “The factory settings have been restored”

5. The NEXC1 will reboot after a successful reset

Resetting the NEXS1

2. Press the Sync button on the NEXS1 9 times

3. Once the prompt voice instruct you to, press the Sync button again

4. You will hear a voice prompt that says “The factory settings have been restored”

5. The NEXS1 will reboot after a successful reset

5. After the reboot, the red button should be flashing. If the light is solid red, press the Power button once quickly

5. Check if you can now detect the NEXS1 or NEXC1 dash cam's WiFi and Bluetooth Network

The Nexar Pro, Beam, NEXS1, and NEXC1 are the only dash cam that has a removable SD Card. However, the Nexar One and NEXC2 have internal memory that is not removable. Do not attempt to remove the internal memory from Nexar One and NEXC2, as it can cause damage and void the warranty.
