Troubleshooting Nexar Pro, Beam, or NEXC2 Restarting or Turning On and Off While Driving

Dash cam restarts during ongoing drives are often caused by faulty or loose wiring or accessories. In some cases, it can also be influenced by how your vehicle's power is configured. If your Nexar Pro, Beam, or NEXC2 dash cam experiences this issue during your drives, please follow the instructions below.

Please ensure that you are only using the original cable, mount, and Nexar-provided power accessory that came with the camera to avoid any potential issues.

1. Ensure that your dash cam's firmware is up to date by tapping More > Dash Cam > Update firmware.

2. Check if the power outlet is working by trying a different power source to see if the restarting issue will stop.

3. Examine the mount, accessories, and dash cam for any physical damage or signs of bloating.

4. For Nexar Pro and Beam: Check if the SD card is properly inserted into the dash cam.

5. Make sure the cigarette lighter adapter's light is turning on. If the charger is not lighting up, use a different power port or connect a phone charger and see if the phone will charge.

6. If you have a GPS mount, remove the USB power cable from the mount and plug it directly into the camera. Check if the issue would stop, this is to determine if the issue is caused by the GPS mount.

If you are using the Nexar Pro, Beam, or NEXC2 with a Hybrid Vehicle, please be aware that it may experience power interruptions, causing it to turn off during your drive or at random intervals. This occurrence is due to the hybrid vehicle's power-saving mechanism, which cuts off power to devices when switching to power-saving mode.
