This guide details how to unpair your Classic dash cam (Nexar Beam and Nexar Pro) from the Nexar Classic app. The process differs slightly between iOS and Android devices.
Unpairing Your Dash Cam from the Nexar Classic App (iOS)
If the Nexar Classic app is still installed on your phone:
1. Manually un-pair the dash cam in the Nexar Classic app. Go to More > Dash cam > Pair a dash cam > Continue
2. Forget the dash cam in your phone’s Wi-Fi menu. Go to Settings > WiFi > DIRECT-Nexar**** > Forget this network
If the Nexar Classic app is no longer installed on your phone:
1. Forget the dash cam in your phone’s Wi-Fi menu. Go to Settings > WiFi > DIRECT-Nexar**** > Forget this network
Unpairing Your Dash Cam from the Nexar Classic App (Android)
1. Manually un-pair the dash cam in the Nexar Classic app. Go to More > Dash cam > Classic dash cam name > Unpair camera > Continue > Unpair
2. To ensure complete disconnection:
Open your phone's Settings
Go to Connections > WiFi > WiFi Direct
Find your dash cam in the list
Tap to unpair
If the Nexar Classic app is no longer installed on your phone:
1. Forget the dash cam in your phone’s Wi-Fi menu. Go to Settings > WiFi > DIRECT-Nexar**** > Forget this network
