This guide details the requirements for using the Nexar Beam as a rear camera.
You can repurpose your Nexar Beam as a rear camera for additional functionality. Please note, however, that the Beam cannot function on its own—it requires a connection to a front camera (Nexar One, beam2 or beam2 mini) and an active Nexar Connect subscription.
Requirements for Repurposing Nexar Beam as a Rear Camera
Uninstall Nexar Classic App: To prevent conflicts with the Nexar Connect app, unpair your dash cam from the Nexar Classic app and uninstall it right after. Click here for detailed instructions.
Factory Reset: Perform a factory reset on the Nexar Beam by pressing the power button 9 times, then press the power button once more as instructed.
