Activating Your LTE Protection Plan
The activation process for your LTE Protection Plan is quite easy. For a smoother experience, here's what you need to do:
When entering your phone number to log in, don't forget to add the country code.
Go to http://getnexar.com/mynexar.
Enter the country code and phone number that you use to log in to your Nexar Connect app account.
Enter the 6-digit SMS verification code that is sent to your phone.
Enter your personal and credit card information.
If successful, the status will show Active.
How Do I Live Stream From My Dash Cam in the Nexar Connect app?
Live streaming from your dash cam in the Nexar Connect app is as easy as tapping the Live button. This button will appear in the Nexar Connect app's Map tab when the phone is not connected to the dash cam's WiFi, provided you have an active LTE Protection Plan.
We recommend checking the following first before trying to use the remote livestream feature:
The dash cam has been charged for at least 20 minutes.
The dash cam is connected to power using all the Nexar-provided accessories.
Your LTE Protection Plan is active. You can check this from the Nexar Connect App > Subscription.
Your phone has cellular data enabled.
Your vehicle is parked in a location with good cellular reception.
To start the Remote livestream:
Connect the phone to the internet via WiFi or cellular data
Open the Nexar Connect app
Tap Stream on the Map tap
Optional: Select Cabin to stream the cabin view.
Tap Remote Stream
Tap End livestream to stop the stream
NOTE: Each Remote Livestream session is limited to 3 minutes.
