This article will help you troubleshoot Nexar beam2's issues where the dash cam's WiFi is not showing on your phone's networks or the app cannot find it.
What to Do When the Nexar beam2's WiFi network is not showing on my Phone's List of Networks?
If your Nexar beam2's WiFi network is not being detected or not showing up on your phone's list of WiFi networks, please do the following:
Please ensure that you are only using the original cable, and Nexar-provided power accessory that came with the camera to avoid any potential issues.
1. Turn off Low Power Mode (iOS) or Power Saving Mode (Android) in the phone's Settings app.
2. Make sure there are no other nearby WiFi networks and you are not using Android Auto, CarPlay, VPN, or security apps, or using your phone as a hotspot.
3. Unplug the dash cam from power and wait for the LED power light to turn off, then plug it back on.
4. Wait for 30 seconds for the Nexar WiFi network to appear on the phone's WiFi settings.
5. Press the camera power button twice.
6. Use a different device to check for the Nexar WiFi network (e.g., a computer or tablet) to confirm its visibility. You don't need to connect to it; this is just to verify if the network is discoverable on other devices.
7. If the Nexar WiFi network appears on another device, restart your phone.
8. Check if you can now detect the Nexar beam2 dash cam's WiFi Network.
Note: If using an Android work phone, install the Nexar Connect App on your main profile. This is because your work profile may have certain restrictions that deny apps access to WiFi.
