Red Light Showing on Nexar Pro, Beam, NEXC2
Updated over a week ago

This article will help you troubleshoot in case you experience issues with the Nexar Pro, Beam, or NEXC2's power light turning red instead of green.

Troubleshooting Red Light Showing on Nexar Pro, Beam, NEXC2

A blinking red power light while updating the dash cam’s firmware is normal and should turn back to green once the update is complete. On the other hand, if you’re experiencing issues with your Nexar Pro, Beam, or NEXC2’s green power light turning solid red, please follow these steps:

Please ensure that you are only using the original cable, mount, and Nexar-provided power accessory that came with the camera to avoid any potential issues.

1. For Nexar Pro: Remove the interior facing camera from the dash cam’s Add-on port to see if the issue will be resolved.

2. If the power light stays red, turn off the dash cam, remove the Nexar Pro or Nexar Beam's SD card, then turn it back on to see if the issue will be resolved.

If the issue gets resolved after following the steps above, please reach out to our support team for further assistance.

The Nexar Pro, Beam, NEXS1, and NEXC1 are the only dash cams that have a removable SD Card. However, the Nexar One and NEXC2 have an internal memory that is not removable. Do not attempt to remove the internal memory from Nexar One and NEXC2, as it can cause damage and void the warranty.
