What to Do When You Encounter Issues When Updating the Nexar Pro, Beam, or NEXC2’s Firmware
If you are having issues updating your Nexar Pro, Beam, or NEXC2 dash cam’s firmware, please do the following:
Please ensure that you are only using the original cable, mount, and Nexar-provided power accessory that came with the camera to avoid any potential issues.
1. Nexar Pro or Beam: Make sure the dash cam's SD card is properly inserted into the SD card port.
2. Make sure you are in an area where there is a strong cellular signal.
3. Turn off Low Power Mode (iOS) or Power Saving Mode (Android) in the phone's Settings app.
4. Turn on your phone’s cellular data, Bluetooth, and WIFI, and make sure it’s not connected to any other WIFI networks.
5. Disable WIFI-interfering functions like Carplay, Android Auto, VPN apps, antivirus apps, security apps, and hotspots.
6. Go to Nexar Classic app > More > Dash cam > Update firmware > Update now.
7. Remain near the dash cam and keep the app in the foreground until the firmware update is complete.
The firmware update should be finished within 5 minutes.
It's normal for the Nexar Pro, Beam, or NEXC2's blue light to show blinking red while the firmware update is in progress, then go back to green when it's done.
