Nexar beam2's Emergency Streaming Alerts
Updated over a week ago

This guide will teach you how Nexar beam2 can send emergency alerts to your emergency contacts so they can spring into action if you need help on the road.

What Are Emergency Streaming Alerts

If you are ever in a collision, Nexar will send an emergency streaming alert through SMS to your emergency contacts, telling them that you need help. It will show your location and a link to livestream your Nexar beam2 dash cam’s view in real time.

Set up Emergency Contacts

Keep your colleagues, friends, or loved ones informed if something happens while you are driving by adding them to your Nexar account as emergency contacts.

How to Add an Emergency Contact

It's easy to add anyone as your emergency contact on the Nexar Connect App. Simply follow these instructions:

1. On the Nexar Connect App, go to More > Emergency Contacts

2. Tap on Add emergency contact

3. Input your emergency contact's name and phone number

How to Delete an Emergency Contact

To delete an emergency contact, please follow these steps:

1. On the Nexar Connect app, go to More > Emergency Contacts

2. Click the trash can icon beside the contact you want to remove

If you own multiple Nexar Connected dash cams, you only need to add or delete Emergency contacts once. Any changes made will automatically apply to all your Nexar Connected dash cams.

When Emergency Contacts Are Notified

Your Nexar beam2 Emergency Contacts will get notified when the dash cam detects a collision while you’re driving.

This safety feature requires an active Nexar Connect subscription. If you haven’t already done so, activate your Nexar Connect subscription to send alerts to your emergency contacts.
