Nexar beam2 Emergency Contacts and Functions Not Working
Updated over a month ago

This article will help you troubleshoot your Nexar beam2 in case you experience issues with Emergency Contacts and the Emergency Streaming feature not working.

Troubleshooting Emergency Contacts Not Getting SMS Alerts

If your emergency contacts are not getting SMS alerts when the emergency streaming feature is started, please do the following:

1. Unplug the Nexar beam2 and wait until the light turns off.

2. Plug it back to power.

3. Disable WiFi-interfering functions like CarPlay, Android Auto, VPN apps, antivirus apps, security apps, and hotspots.

4. Turn on the phone's WiFi settings and wait until the blue/white light stops blinking.

5. Ask the emergency contacts to make sure they are in an area with good cellular reception, then check if they received the SMS emergency alerts.

6. Force close the Nexar Connect app using the instructions below.

For iOS: Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen > pause in the middle > swipe up on the Nexar Connect app.

For Android: Tap the hamburger icon (three lines or dots) from the Navigation bar > swipe up on the Nexar Connect app.

You can only use the emergency stream link from the SMS alert within 24 hours, and it needs the Nexar beam2 to be powered on.

If the issue continues, please reach out to our support team for further help. Providing the date and time when the issue occurred will greatly assist in resolving the problem.
