Troubleshooting Not Powering Off Issue on a Nexar beam2 Dash Cam
If the Nexar beam2 does not power off or turn off even when the vehicle's engine is off, take note of the following:
Please ensure that you are only using the original cable, and Nexar-provided power accessory that came with the camera to avoid any potential issues.
If you are using the cigarette lighter adapter on a regular powered port, the Nexar beam2 turns off 30 seconds after the car is turned off.
If you are using an OBD, hardwire kit, or your Nexar beam2 is connected to a continuous power port, it may take up to 2 minutes to fully power off after the vehicle has been turned off.
Please do the following to make sure your Nexar beam2 will power off correctly when you're done driving:
If you're using an OBD kit, or cigarette lighter adapter with continuous power, open the Nexar Connect App and check if the dash cam is connected.
If you've connected your phone to the dash cam, make sure to disconnect or simply turn off your phone's WiFi connection.
If everything is checked but the issue still persists, please reach out to our support team for further assistance.
