This guide will help you find and save Nexar Pro and NEXC2 interior-facing camera footage to the Nexar Classic app.

Nexar’s interior-facing camera connects to your Nexar Pro or NEXC2 dash cam and allows you to record the inside of your vehicle in 720p quality. The interior-facing camera does not have its own storage, so it uses Nexar Pro or NEXC2’s internal memory while being connected to it.

Videos which are saved on the internal memory and clips created using the Nexar Classic app with the interior facing camera will be saved with audio from inside the vehicle.

In order to retrieve videos from the interior facing camera of your Nexar Pro or NEXC2, after completing a drive, remain near your dash cam and make sure it is powered on.

Then proceed with the following steps:

1. Make sure your phone's Bluetooth and WiFi settings are enabled

2. Open the Nexar Classic app

3. Go to Videos

4. Tap the drive from where you want to retrieve your interior camera footage

5. Tap the Create Clip button

6. Tap the small camera icon from the top right corner of the screen to switch to the interior facing camera

7. Select the segment you want to save using the scrolling tool at the bottom of the playback screen

8. Tap Create clip

The clip will be saved under the drive it was clipped from on your home screen and then upload it to the cloud server for future access.

If you’re receiving a message that says This video is no longer in your dash cam when attempting to create a clip from your interior-facing camera, it is possible that it was already overwritten by the new videos you have created. Nonetheless, you can still attempt to perform playback of the exterior footage that is associated with it as long as it's still saved on the app.

Exterior and interior-facing camera videos are equally stored inside the dash cam’s internal memory (click here to find out how to export your drives from it).

Once the limit has been reached, it will begin to ‘loop record’ once you start a new recording (a new drive). Hence, it is highly advisable to create a clip immediately in case you need the footage from either the exterior or interior camera.

To connect the interior-facing camera of the Nexar Pro, plug the power cord into the add-on port on your dash cam. If you have setup the Nexar Classic app with your Nexar Pro, there are no additional steps.

The NEXC2 dash cam's interior-facing camera is already built-in, so you don't need to do anything extra aside from setting up the Nexar Classic app with it.

Checking if the interior-facing camera is working is as easy as plugging the interior-facing camera into the add-on port on the Nexar Pro dash cam. No lights on the camera will power on. You can check out a preview of your interior camera by heading over to the Nexar Classic app > More > Dash cam > Preview dash cam.

Yes! You will be able to see the interior of your vehicle with no additional lighting needed.

To mount the interior-facing camera of your Nexar Pro in the vehicle, you can use the small mount that it comes with. The mount has an adhesive tape so that you can mount it to your windshield.

NEXC2's interior-facing camera is built into the main unit, so no additional installation is required.

You can see what the camera is recording by going to the Nexar Classic app > More > Dash cam > Preview dash cam.

You can always open the Nexar Classic app to watch the live footage of your Nexar Pro or NEXC2 dash cam while driving.

For iOS: In the Nexar Classic app, go to Drive and tap the Stream button. Tap the small camera icon from the lower right part of the streaming drawer to switch between road and interior view.

For Android: Open the Nexar Classic app. Go to Drive and tap the Interior view toggle on top of the video drawer to switch to the interior camera view.

Please note that at the end of the drive, only external facing camera videos are automatically saved to the Nexar Classic app. No worries, you can create a manual clip using the instructions above, and save the requested segment to your phone.
