This article will guide you through mounting your Nexar One dash cam to your vehicle.

If you are unsure where and how you should stick your dash cam, see our suggestions below:

  • For road view cameras, behind and to the right of your rearview mirror works best.

  • Wherever you choose to stick the camera, make sure to install it in a place where it will not interfere with the driver’s visibility or safety.

  • Do not install the camera on or near where airbags may be present or go off. If you are uncertain of where your vehicle’s airbags are located, contact your vehicle’s manufacturer.

  • In order to prevent damage, do not install the camera on a sun control film (i.e. window tint).

Learn How to Mount and Install Your Nexar One Dash Cam in Your Vehicle

Follow these simple steps to easily mount and install your Nexar One dash cam to your vehicle.

1. Install the Nexar One Add-ons

If you have purchased add-ons for your Nexar One, you will need to attach them to the main unit by removing the lids on both sides of the Nexar One.

Attach the cabin view camera and +Connectivity add-on. Please attach the +Connectivity add-on to the right-hand side of the Nexar One and the cabin view camera on the left-hand side.

2. Attach the Nexar One mount base to the windshield

Move to the front passenger seat of your vehicle and check the Nexar Connect app to see that you have a full, clear view of the road and interior cabin.

Clean the windshield area where you decide to stick the mount then remove the protective film from the camera lens and attach the dash cam to the magnetic mount base.

3. Hide the cable

To install the cable neatly, start in the passenger seat. Gently pull down the ceiling fabric near the windshield, tuck the cable under, or use cable clips. Continue by feeding the cable through the door seal, behind the glove compartment, and under the floor mat. Finally, connect it to the USB charger near the power socket for a seamless setup.

That's it, you're all set!
