Why Should I Subscribe to the Nexar Connect subscription?

We highly recommend subscribing your Nexar One dash cam to Nexar Connect subscription. This subscription enables you to connect with your Nexar One dash cam even when you’re not in close proximity. This provides your Nexar One with additional features such as:

Track your vehicle's live location on a map.
Remotely connect to your Nexar One and stream video anytime and anywhere.
Live stream the road camera view from your Nexar Connect app if something happens to your vehicle while parked.
Know that your emergency contacts will get an alert and a live stream when something happens.
Backup important clips to the cloud.

Activating Your Nexar Connect Subscription

The activation process for your Nexar subscription is quite easy. For a smoother experience, here's what you need to do:

Make sure that you are near your Nexar One and connected.
You should have the +Connectivity add-on already attached to your Nexar One dash cam.
If you don’t have a +Connectivity add-on, you can purchase one and activate your Nexar Connect subscription account later.
When entering your phone number to login, don't forget to add the country code.

1. Go to http://getnexar.com/mynexar.

2. Enter the country code and phone number that you use to log in to your Nexar Connect app account.

3. Enter the 6-digit SMS verification code that is sent to your phone.

4. Choose the +Connectivity subscription you wish to activate.

5. Enter your personal and credit card information.

6. Once done, you will be redirected back to the Nexar Connect app.

How Do I Live Stream From My Nexar One in the Nexar Connect app?

Live streaming from your Nexar One in the Nexar Connect app is as easy as tapping the Live button. This button will appear in the Nexar Connect app's Map tab when the phone is not connected to Nexar One's WiFi, provided you have a +Connectivity add-on with an active Nexar Connect subscription.

Clicking the Live button wakes up your Nexar One and allows you to stream while the vehicle is parked and the Nexar One dash cam is off.

We recommend checking the following first before trying to use the remote live stream feature:

1. Nexar One has been charged for at least 20 minutes.

2. Nexar One is connected to power using all the Nexar-provided accessories.

3. Your Nexar Connect subscription is active. You can check this from the Nexar Connect App > More > Subscriptions.

4. Your phone is connected to a stable WIFI or cellular data connection.

5. Your vehicle is parked in a location with good cellular reception.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I move the add-ons from one Nexar One dash cam to another?

The add-ons are detachable and transferable between Nexar One dash cams. However, without the +Connectivity add-on attached, Nexar One won't have Nexar Connect-related features like Live Location, Emergency Mode, or Remote Streaming.

Ideally, we recommend obtaining one +Connectivity add-on for each Nexar One dash cam to enable live streaming from each vehicle.
